I remember a movie where a guy was talking about advice his father gave him and he said "before my old man left this shitty world..."  and the older I get and see gross stupidity, inhumanity, lack of concern, greed and any other negative sloth you can impale upon the human race - its there.  My own faith of Catholicism has become an unknown congregation of old men seemingly more interested in perpetuating their own life styles rather than benefit their congregation.  Politics has become a whore and no matter which side the aisle your on, or who you voted for, you will be screwed for the sake of some arrogant bastards picture of what is right for America.  There is so much shit that it is impossible to tell whose is whose.  Will we ever evolve into an enlightened civilization where the value of every human being is appreciated?  Will we continue to strive for equality among all races, sexes, religions?  The clear and apparent answer is no.  History teaches us one step forward two steps back, with equality but discrimination, religious freedom but ideologue hatred, and sexual equality to a point.

Integrity, honesty, loyalty have been embellished with attributes of being on the team no matter what, and lost the sense of morality from which they sprang.  Is it any wonder modern heroes enjoy little or no respect.  Is it any wonder that nearly every whistleblower in this country despite legal protections ends up screwed.  Yes believe in justice if you are not its target or you can afford it.  Believe in the ultimate end that something will come alright when in the end they just wait you out until you die.

No?  You believe health care benefits are limited without the knowledge that  some people will die?  Its true in Medicaid, Medicare and VA benefits. Delay, frustrate, complicate and people will go away or die before they pay.   If they heard all the Medicare and Social Security backlog of appeals and awarded benefits, these programs would compete with the Defense budget.  So we accept the lie about backlogs and cuts or just assume ignorantly that they do not hurt any one.  It is especially disheartening concerning veterans who as Abraham Lincoln said "borne" the cost of stupid and not stupid wars.
